Analysis

Artists Performance:

Harshavardhan Rane: He has too many shades to get you irritated. His suspicious behavior at times is head aching. A soft character behaves abnormally at times for reasons best known to director. Harshavardhan acted in several Telugu films and he is also venturing soon into Bollywood but he performed like a newcomer.

Avanthika Mishra: She looked good and performed well. Her dialogue delivery is so weak and ?Devudaa? she made the romantic track narration so boring.

Sushma Raj: She got a bubbly character and to demonstrate that she was seen jumping in entire first half. Thankfully, director asked her to control this jumping in second half as story runs into serious atmosphere. She is much better compared to Avanthika acting wise.

Jhansi is okay and Nagababu, Nalla Venu didn?t get much to perform.

Movie Advantages
1. Few comedy scenes
2. Shayaji Shinde Role
Movie Drawbacks
1. Over dosage of vulgarity
2. Boothu story Maruthi mark
3. Torture treatment
4. Weak Editing

Analysis

Post Maruthi’s Ee Rojullo, many such youthful entertainers have hit the screens in couple of years. Most of them were flops. Still few directors are believing in filthy content for comedy targeting youth. Though youth audience are sick of watching these films, those makers who couldn’t think beyond are releasing the same routine adult entertainers. Director D Venkat Suresh is also into same list.

Neither his writing nor his making standards were admirable. He tried to convey a good message in end and audience couldn’t tolerate to sit patiently until then due to excessive vulgarity. Few comedy scenes in first half provided laughs  and except for these portions, the movie offers nothing.

How friends and parents of both Karthik and Swathi react when they two divulge their decision of getting divorced? Did they change their mindset in climax or not?
Movie Advantages

2. Comedy
3. Few Songs
4. Aadi performance
Movie Drawbacks
1. Confusing Plot
2. Weak Screenplay
3. Erica Fernandes
4. Abnormal Ending
5. Pathetic Climax

Analysis

Story, Screenplay, Direction:
Sampath Nandi penned story, screenplay and dialogues wanted to convey the current generation love affairs, marriages and break ups. Let’s see how far his attempt has worked out:

Adi and Erica Fernandes are shown as cute and loving couple at first. Things change all of sudden when they celebrate occasion of winning best couple award. These characters behave dissuadously dissimilar to what director shows us in starting of film.

Then flash back episodes are revealed. Kristina Akheeva was Aadi’s ex-girlfriend who doesn’t believe in marriage system prefers live-in relationship.

On the other hand, Rahul Ravindran is one side lover of Erica waiting for her acceptance since 4 years. Erica has great respect for Telugu traditions, so wanted to marry a guy of her parents choice. Only one year after marriage, Aadi and Erica gets to know on what they were missing in marriage life.

This is not our conventional Telugu story, still director tries hard to convince us by showing the real face of our well cultured society. In climax, Telugu traditions and our ethics are shown as outdated before the present day modern youth thinking. One should have accepted and appreciated the climax, if Naveen Gandhi had strength in justifying content and narration.

Half an hour pre climax climax is diluted with unexpected and unwanted climax.

Sampath Nandi has written thought provoking dialogues. The old age grannies episodes were well written aimed at NRI Telugu people. Bharath and Gayathri scenes have a potent message.

Actual content is affirmed in second half and it was good till last half an hour. Anarchistic climax is the weak link for our audience mind set.

Naveen Gandhi’s making standards are good and he credibly failed to deal crucial sequences.

However one should agree that Sampath did not give any message; it is infact the information and identity of current trend.

Music: Bheems Ceciroleo composed audio had gentle tunes. His background score is asset for the film.

Cinematography: K Bujji’s cinematography was neat. He picturized songs efficiently.

Editing: Rambabu’s craft cutting is not persuasive. Beginning the movie with actor Bharath and introducing Aadi later is a bad and insensible idea.

Production Values: Sampath Nandi Team works production values are too good for a small budget film.

Artists Performance:

Aadi: Aadi essayed the meaty role with perfection. He has shown lots of improvement in key sequences. Better, Aadi should stop or at least reduce the gym time as its effect was seen falling face.

Erica Fernandes: She was seen with same expression through out movie. She didn’t even take care to match lip sync with dialogues. Appearance prospect, she is far thin to a curtain.

Nothing much
Movie Drawbacks
1. P Suneel Kumar Reddy’s story, screenplay, direction
2. Over dosage of adult content
3. Lack of entertainment

Analysis

P Suneel Kumar Reddy is known for making youth oriented adult entertainers. The director also demonstrates a strong message through his films as seen in past Gangaputhrulu, Oka Romantic Crime Katha. Withal, what's wrong in them is, he focuses more on comprising of adult stuff overshadowing the actual message.

In Oka Criminal Prema Katha, director Suneel wanted to convey the message of child and domestic abuse in India. These sorts of subjects are to be dealt

Movie Story

Aspiring director Srinu (Srinivas Reddy)  starts narrating a horror story to producer Ramesh Rao (Rao Ramesh).

In the story, a young girl commits suicide at her flat and boyfriend is accused, sent to jail. The girl becomes ghost and goes around the same flat.

Meanwhile, a wannabe filmmaker Srinu (Srinivas Reddy) along with software friend Madhu (Madhu Nandan) lands in the same flat getting cheated by broker (Prudhvi). Two other guys (Satyam Rajesh, Shakalaka Shankar) also join them later.

A beautiful girl Geethanjali (Anjali) comes everyday to same flat spending time with the four sipping coffee. Twist in the tale is- apartment watchman reveals a strange fact that Geethanjali was actually dead three months ago.

Enthusiastic producer Ramesh Rao is a little scared and wants to know rest of story. Here Srinu reveals that it is his real story and waiting to know why the evil spirit of Geethanjali is following him?

Who is Geethanjali? Did she really commit suicide? If not who are the culprits behind mysterious death?
Movie Advantages

3. Raj Kiran Direction
4. Praveen Lakkaraju Music
5. Sai Sri Ram Cinematography
6. Production Values
Movie Drawbacks
1. Second Half
2. Brahmanandam
3. Weak Content
4. Prosaic Climax

Analysis

Story, Screenplay, Direction:

Geethanjali commits suicide in beginning of movie turns into a ghost. Srinivas Reddy and batch lands in the flat. Anjali visits the flat everyday becoming a good friend. First half runs smoothly with Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh and Shakalaka Shankar comedy. Story turns serious and interesting when two back to back twists are revealed- Anjali was dead few months ago and it was not a film story but a real life experience of Srinivas Reddy.

We have few doubts post first half: What is the need of Srinu batch staying in the same flat even after knowing about the ghost? Actually Kona's screenplay is bluffing with cremation ground shown before every single night episode.

Second half reveals who is Anjali and reasons for her death. Anjali was a classical dancer and a software engineer in profession leading happy life with family. She also had a boyfriend (Harshavardhan Rane). But things change with a birthday party of her boss.

Actual reason for Anjali coming everyday to the same flat is silly. There is no content to drive the story in second half when the flashback was revealed. This showed Kona's inconsitency in story expansion and scripting drawbacks.

With first half, you may conclude to an extent that Kona Venkat mark regular screenplay and fictious ‘dream’ comedy is not a part of Geethanjali. You are absolutely wrong. He is back to his scrap novelty in second half. Movie turns boring since the very start of second half and Brahmanandam’s comedy is atrocious.

Debutant director Raj Kiran dealt first half quite effectively like an experienced filmmaker. He handled horror as well as comedy sequences decisively. Second hald is totally diverse to first half in all departments screenplay, entertainment and making standards. Sequences of Brahmanandam training Anjali are tough to bear.

They should have opted an irrational and new flashback episode with a reasonable climax.

Sai Sri Ram’s Cinematography is remarkable. Songs are good disturbing the flow. In fact, songs are of less priority for a horror-thriller genre. Background score is best. Editing is neat. Graphical work in climax was good and DI was effective through out. Production values are worth a special mention.

Artists Performance:

Anjali: She looked odd with plump figure full of tyres. Performance wise, she is good especially in climax. Anjali appeared pretty in flashback scenes.

Srinivas Reddy: He got meaty role and performed it with perfection. He is a comedy piece, its better for him stop trying the lead actor roles.
