Superstar Rajinikanth has once again proved his stamina at the overseas box-office. His ‘Lingaa’ film has collected close to 14 crores in its opening weekend.
As per our trade reports, ‘Lingaa’ collected 2.26 crores in Malaysia, 1.68 crores in United Kingdom, 4.24 lakhs in Canada and 8.41 crores in USA.
These collections include both Tamil and Telugu versions.

The Tamil media is full of stories that Rajinikanth’s latest film Lingaa made Rs 100 crores in the opening three days.
But the industry insiders say that like in the case of many films, there are a lot of fake calculations.
It is said that the film has barely made Rs 70 crores gross in Telugu and Tamil.

Apparently, an upcoming or a relatively new hero who has lots of money called on director Chandoo Mondeti who has just given a hit in Karthikeya.
Talk is that he made a bumper offer to Chandoo saying that he would give him Rs 20 crores. The deal is that no matter how much Chandoo pockets, the hero wants him to make a film with him in the lead.
Now, for many upcoming directors, this might sound like a lucrative offer. But Chandoo is said to have turned it down.

Glamorous actress of Telugu Film Industry Kajal Aggarwal has demanded 2 crores as fee. According to a latest update, she already collected this amount.
Wait, we are not talking about her movies. She recently signed as a brand ambassador for a famous brand, and she is taking 2 crores for promoting it. This brand is developing shopping malls in Telugu Region which can be promoted by multiple stars.
Kajal Aggarwal is now busy with her movie Temper which is being directed by prominent director Puri Jagannadh.

Super Star's movie audio release date confirmed

Rajinikanth's 'Lingaa' is all set to hit the theatres on December 12th, on the occasion of the Super Star's birthday.

Though the songs of the Tamil and Telugu versions were released during the audio launch event in Chennai, the makers are planning to hold the Telugu audio launch event separately. So the audio launch event will be held on December 8th. A.R.Rahman is the music director of this much awaited film.

K.S.Ravikumar is the director and Rockline Venkatesh is the producer. Eros has bought the world theatrical rights of the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions for a record breaking price of around 160 crores.
